Reviews
Our server was friendly, but food service was slow. Not shown was French onion soup overloaded with croutons and lots of pepper. I generally like pepper but it was a little excessive. Also not shown country fried steak breakfast. My companion reported it was OK but gravy on side just tasted like flour. Chicken in nachos wasn't seasoned well, and lots of tendon/gristle pieces. They were swimming in nacho cheese under other toppings, and no real shredded cheese.
We were there on a Sunday night at prime dinner hour. It was only about 1/2 full.
Inside was clean but dark.
Best part: server was friendly and courteous.
Least favorite: chicken in the nachos with tendons and not seasoned well.
Forest Restaurant offers a pleasant dining experience reminiscent of a Greek diner. The food is tasty and the service is commendable. Prices are average, making it a good choice for regular meals. It's a solid option for those seeking familiar, comforting fare.
Food was good. Onion Soup was really good. Also had Sampler Salad. Service was prompt and helpful.
Booths were missing fabric, Bathroom door had serious issues, broken parts in bathroom.
We used to go to Forestview Restaurant quite a bit, a dozen or so years ago. New places opened near us, so we hadn't been there in quite some time. We figured it was time for a revisit for a breakfast over the weekend. We are glad we did.
Overall, not much has changed in regards to the layout and overall ambiance. I will say the menu is quite extensive, the service was great and the food came out quick. The prices were reasonable, especially for the amount of food we received. We had enough for a second breakfast!
Fourteen family members enjoyed our annual New Year's Day brunch together. This year we chose the Forestview. It is not easy for one waitress to wait on 14 people all at the same time. Nor is it easy for the chef to prepare 14 different orders, all served at the same time. The food was delicious and the portions were very generous. Great central spot to connect Northtown and Southtowns friends and family.
I was happy to find a restaurant open on a Monday that does breakfast all day! It’s not fancy and does what it does well. It wasn’t busy and they met us stay awhile chatting.
I had a meatball omelette and it was chock full of peppers and meatball slices - I really liked the marinara on top.
Great service, speedy, good value, filling portions.
Just love this restaurant. Always the choice for our breakfast get together. Huge breakfast menu options and reasonably priced. Comfortable atmosphere. Service is excellent, as is the food.
Great breakfast. Yummy tasting coffee, flavored creamers too!! Awesome booth pattern 😍. Average pricing. $40 for 2 people.
